    Yep, I can see why this one was given pride-of-place on the mantel. The colours are striking, but they create a really interesting sort of “conflict” in the “feeling”. The sky looks dark and cold, but the landscape looks hot, almost fiery – which of course is quite logical for the desert climate, with the day’s heat fading into the cold of night, but it takes a few seconds to grasp that and the momentary “disorientation” really draws you in.
